Evidence before reassurance
How AvertSignal evaluates customer-path health.
AvertSignal organizes monitoring around five practical stages: Baseline, Detect, Explain, Route and Verify. The method is designed to distinguish what is known from what is merely expected.
1. Baseline
Define the business, location, customer path, systems, expected destinations, accountable owners and evidence that normally indicates a healthy handoff.
2. Detect
Observe or test for a broken, changed, missing, delayed or degraded condition. A single signal is interpreted within the limits of the access and evidence available.
3. Explain
Translate the condition into plain business language: what changed, which customer path may be affected and why it matters. Estimated impact remains labeled as estimated.
4. Route
Identify the responsible employee, agency, developer, host, CRM provider, phone provider or other system owner, then provide a bounded next action.
5. Verify
Retest or re-observe the original failed condition. A provider saying the issue was fixed does not prove recovery. Verification requires accepted evidence that the relevant path works again.
Evidence states
- Observed: a public or connected signal was seen.
- Tested: a condition or customer action was actively checked.
- Connected: a system confirmed the relevant handoff.
- Verified: the original condition passed accepted recovery proof.
- Estimated: available evidence supports a conclusion without proving it.
- Unknown: required access or evidence is missing.
Unknown must not be represented as healthy. See how this applies to lead tracking and revenue-path mapping.
